McDonald’s customers can earn rewards on eligible purchases through the MyMcDonald’s Rewards program. By joining through the McDonald’s mobile app, members collect points with every qualifying order and redeem those points for free menu items, discounts, and special offers.
What Is MyMcDonald’s Rewards
MyMcDonald’s Rewards is the official loyalty program available through the McDonald’s app. Members earn points whenever they make eligible purchases at participating restaurants.
The program is designed to reward frequent customers with free food, drinks, and exclusive app offers.

Free large Fries to keep you company. Download the app and get ’em with your first purchase of $1+.* Every $1 you spend earns 100 points, redeemable for free food.
Offer valid 1x thru the last day of month for first time app users at participating McDonald’s. May take up to 48 hours to appear in your deals. Must opt in to Rewards. Excludes tax.
How to earn points and redeem faves
Earn MyMcDonald’s Rewards points with a simple scan or code during checkout. You can also make payments through the app and redeem your available rewards for your favorite menu items with ease.
Easily earn points
Select the ‘Earn Points’ tab in the McDonald’s app found on the bottom menu bar. Access the 4-digit Drive Thru Code or code to scan at the counter or kiosk. When you place your order in the app, you’ll automatically earn your points.
Pay & earn all in one step
Link your card details to the app so you can conveniently pay and earn points at the same time—including an extra 1500 Bonus Points on your first payment using your linked card. Then, simply tell us your Drive Thru code before placing your order at the speaker or scan the code in-restaurant.
Bonus points may take up to 10 days to appear in your account. Rewards program available only at participating McDonald’s. McDonald’s app download and registration required.
Redeem free McDonald’s
To redeem points, sign in with your McDonald’s app login. Go to the Rewards & Deals tab. There you can select the menu item you want to redeem. Choose ‘Use at Restaurant’ to get the Drive Thru code, or select ‘Use Restaurant Code’ when you’re inside to reveal the code to use at the counter or kiosk.

How do I earn points
Download the McDonald’s App and join MyMcDonald’s Rewards. Present your 4-digit code before ordering, or earn points automatically when ordering through the app.
How much are points worth
You earn 100 points for every $1 spent on eligible purchases. Rewards can be redeemed starting at 1,500 points.
Do my points expire
Yes. Points expire on the first day of the month following six months from the date they were earned.
Can I redeem more than one reward per order
No. Currently, only one reward can be redeemed per order.
Can I share my points
No. MyMcDonald’s Rewards points are tied to your account and cannot be transferred to another person.
How do I redeem points for free McDonald’s items
You can redeem rewards through the app by:
- Opening the Rewards section.
- Selecting the reward you want.
- Choosing Add to Mobile Order for app orders.
For in-store or Drive-Thru orders:
- Select your reward.
- Choose Use at Restaurant.
- Present the generated 4-digit code before ordering.
For McDelivery orders placed through the app, add your reward item before checkout. Rewards cannot be redeemed on third-party delivery platforms such as DoorDash or Uber Eats.
Can I redeem a reward and still earn points
Yes. You will continue earning 100 points per dollar spent on eligible items purchased in the same transaction.
What if I forgot to provide my code
You can request missing points in the app:
- Select More
- Choose Add Missing Points from Receipt
- Select Enter Receipt Details
- Enter the restaurant number, visit date, visit time, order number, and order total from your receipt
- Select Submit
My points haven’t appeared. What should I do
Wait up to 24 hours after your purchase. If points are still missing:
- Select More
- Choose Careers, Contact & Legal
- Select Contact Us
- Provide your account email, order number, subtotal, and details about the missing points
Do I need separate codes to redeem rewards and earn points
No. A single 4-digit reward or deal code allows you to redeem your offer and earn points on eligible purchases in the same transaction.
Which purchases do not earn points
The following are not eligible:
- Taxes
- Bag fees and bottle fees
- Other surcharges and service fees
- Loading money onto a McDonald’s Arch Card
- Delivery fees for orders placed through the app
How do I link a payment card in the app
To add a card:
- Open the app and select Earn Points
- Choose Pay with Linked Card
- Enter your card details and save
To edit or replace a card:
- Select More
- Open Profile
- Choose Payment Methods
I lost my phone. Did I lose my points
No. Your rewards are connected to your McDonald’s account. Once you sign in on a new device, your points should still be available.
